Extrude the shank first, then drew a profile centered on the shank of a single flute combined with its "core" diameter. The core diameter I would describe as smallest cross section between the flutes which I simply transferred into a circle.

If I have an 1/4" end mill can I have the software mill just the outside perimeter and let a remainder material fall? or does it have to mill all the material out of the hole? the material is a 1 3/4" x 3" .120 thickness tube BTW

I need to drill a 7/8" hole and my largest drill bit is a 3/4" but I have a 1/8" flat end bit in my crib.(I do not want to bring in a new tool) When I use extract machinable features it detects my holes but wont let me generate operation plans.
